Groton School
Celebrates 129th Prize Day

"Saying goodbye to Groton is like saying goodbye to an absolutely ordinary rainbow."

Judge Stephen A. Higginson spoke from personal experience when he delivered those words, part of his keynote address at Groton School's 129th Prize Day. Higginson, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, is a Groton alumnus from the Form of 1979, as well as the father of 2014 graduate Christopher Higginson and the son of 1950 Groton graduate Charles Higginson. continued

Groton Trivia

This Month's Question
Last month's question stumped our readers, even as our current crews rowed on to NEIRA medals. In their honor, readers, let's give it another go!

Groton rows coxed fours. Nowadays, all of our boats have the coxswain in the bow. When did the first bow-coxed shell arrive on campus?

The winner, chosen at random from correct entries, will receive a Groton T-shirt. Submit your answer here.

Thank you to all our trivia participants, and congratulations again to all who have submitted correct trivia responses this year: Gus Harwood'07, Herb Smith '78, W. A. Lawrence II '51, Julie de Peyster '82, A. E. Keir Nash '54, and Amy Cunningham Atkinson '79.

Profiles Buildings & Grounds Staff —

Winter FSA
by Ethan Woo '16

This fall, Director of Buildings and Grounds Tim Dumont delivered a chapel talk regarding some of the many duties of Buildings and Grounds. My FSA this winter aimed to highlight as many individuals on the B&G staff as possible, letting the community know exactly who works behind the scenes, whether it be a part-time helicopter pilot or a retired nurse with a collection of motorcycles. I hope you enjoy getting to know a little bit about them as much as I did.

Read the pamphlet about Groton staff that Ethan prepared for his FSA.
