    May 2, 2012 — Davis Maple Ballroom

Over thirty-five Capstone Design projects developed by teams of civil, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering seniors will be on exhibit on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Davis Maple Ballroom from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. In addition, the newly created UVM Fabrication Lab (FAB Lab) in Votey 122A will be open to the public from 3 to 4 pm.

The evening's events are free and open to the public. Each team has worked with an outside company, non-profit, entrepreneur or community or on UVM School of Engineering research projects to undertake system- and product-design projects that... continued

The Vermont Air National Guard (VTANG) sponsored "Engineers Day Activities", done in conjunction with the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, were held at Burlington's Vermont Air National Guard base on February 16, 2012 for elementary, middle and high school students. Approximately 500 students competed in eight different engineering challenges: Dynapower Tallest Structure, IEEE Playful Challenge, PC Construction Roof Trusses, Smart Phones, edible cars, wind turbines, passive helicopters, and pasta bridges. more info
